A Study of Perceived Reading Difficulties and Reading Strategies: The Case for Online Reading

چکیده
Reading is never considered a simple activity that requires readers to only identify words written on page or screen. It mental activities comprehend their meaning and recognize relationships between ideas. There are many factors may affect reading comprehension including readers’ background knowledge the text they read, vocabulary, motivation complexity. This study conducted explore learners' perception difficulties, use of strategies relationship them in case online reading. quantitative research collected data from 275 random respondents various faculties public university. The questionnaire has 4 sections contain items demographic profile, global strategies, problem-solving support strategies. In general, findings show there high significant association as well However, found perceived difficulties experienced by learners have no significance use. Nevertheless, teaching such should be incorporated instruction.
